Full Page Screen Capture In Google Chrome

Full Page Screen Capture In Google Chrome

Just a quick tip on a very handy web tool if you are using Google’s Chrome Browser.  There are times that you want to capture an entire web page rather than just the visible section on your screen.  Maybe a full Profile, a lengthy blogpost or website, or a long survey.

You can capture visible content of a tab, a region of a web page, or the whole page as a PNG image. It also supports horizontal and vertical scroll when capturing whole page, with an all new autosave capability.

Here is the link to do the speedy install:  Google Screen Capture

Just remember that you need to be using Google Chrome browser.

This does not replace my all-time universal capture tool from TechSmith called Snagit, which I use multiple times each day.  It also has a full page capture capability. but it is a paid tool and I hear from many of you that you prefer a free tool vs. paid if they accomplish the same result.

Additional capabilities include ability to highlight, add text, redact text and draw lines and arrows if needed.  Once your capture is complete, and you have added the desired enhancements, you are also able to “share” your work to Facebook if you desire, or save it to a convenient location on your hard drive, USB stick or even your Dropbox online account.

Remember that you have it installed and you will thank me at some point late in the evening while working on a tight deadline for your next proposal or RFP response.
